About Me

Dr. Tarek El Ansari is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi, where he also leads the Department of Anaesthesia and serves as Director of the Patient Blood Management (PBM) Program. With over four decades of clinical experience, he is highly regarded for his expertise in obstetric and gynaecological anaesthesia, as well as his leadership in advancing safe, evidence-based patient blood management practices.

Dr. Ansari plays a key role in improving patient outcomes by integrating multidisciplinary approaches to perioperative care, minimizing transfusion risks, and enhancing patient safety through optimized blood utilization strategies. His clinical leadership spans high-risk pregnancy management, critical care, and complex surgical cases, contributing significantly to maternal and patient safety initiatives at the hospital.
